Directions Usual daily dose: Must be given in a 6 oz to 8 oz glass of milk or fruit juice or in infant's formula to prevent throat irritation. For retention or flushing enemas: Add 5 to 10 mL (1 to 2 tsp) of COLACE liquid to the enema fluid. The effect of COLACE on the stools may not be apparent until 1 to 3 days after the first oral dose.
